Collecting & Submitting a Sample

How to Collect a Sample

1.        Collect fresh manure – ideally 1–2 hours old. One or two balls is plenty.

2.        Bag it – place the sample in a zip-lock bag with the air squeezed out. (Sterile containers aren’t necessary.)

3.        Label clearly – include the horse’s name on each bag.

4.        Keep cool – refrigerate samples for up to 3–4 days if needed while you collect from multiple horses.
